Amazon Prime has released a new video to tell us about the new shows and the new seasons of already aired shows being released in the year 2020. Amazon has not only gave the glimpses of new seasons of some of our favorite Amazon Original shows but we also saw the clips of some new shows that are set to release later this year.
Shows Coming For New Seasons on Amazon Prime Video in 2020
1. Breathe Season 2
Breathe Season 1 was released in 2018. Breathe is a psychological thriller. This time the leading cast of Breathe has Abhishek Bachchan and Amit Saad is returning again as Kabir Sawant. Written and directed by Mayank Sharma, this season will also star Nithya Menon and Saiyami Kher.
2. Mirzapur Season 2
One of the most awaited Amazon Prime Originals shows is Mirzapur Season 2. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the new season will feature Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Rajesh Tailang, Amit Sial, Rasika Duggal.
3. Family Man Season 2
The Family Man, Manoj Vajpayee's debut in a web series is returning with a new season. The second season is created and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The new season is holding almost the same cast from the last one.
4. Inside Edge Season 3
Amazon Prime the very first original for India is returning with a new season. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Inside Edge Season 3 will be directed by Karan Anshuman. The new season cast includes Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Aamir Bashir, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, and Sapna Pabbi.
5. Four More Shots Season 2
This is a lesser-known Amazon Originals but worth a watch show is also returning with a new season. It will be directed by Nupur Asthana and is going to feature Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, Shibani Dandekar, Bani J, Lisa Ray, and Milind Soman once again. This time, the gang of the four girls will go international, with the show being shot in Turkey apart from Mumbai.
6. The Last Hour
The Youtube video also gave a glimpse of a new show, The Lat Hour. However, the small clip did not provide much information about the storyline. This show is being produced by Asif Kapadia and that it will feature Raima Sen and Sanjay Kapoor in the lead roles.
7. DILLI
Dilli looks like a political drama with an impressive star cast which includes e Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Mohd Zeeshan Ayub, and Sarah Jane Dias. The show is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is written by Gaurav Solanki.
8. Paatal Lok
Paatal Lok is another Amazon Original addition in shows made for India list. It looks like a crime-thriller featuring Neeraj Kabi, Gul Panag and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles.
9. Gormint
Gormint is another Amazon Original show. It is a political drama show featuring Amol Palekar, Manav Kaul, Shikha Talsania and Girish Kulkarni in lead roles.
10. Mumbai Diaries 26/11
As the name suggests, this show is based on the tragic incident that Mumbai faced on 26th November 2008. This show is being directed by Nihkil Advani and will feature Konkana Sen Sharma, Tina Desai and Mohit Raina in lead roles.
New shows releasing on Amazon Prime Video in 2020
11. The Forgotten Army
Amazon Prime has a box full of new shows made for India and we got a brand new show The Forgotten Army releasing this Republic Day, 2020. The show is created by Kabir Khan is a recreated version of his 1990 documentary. Starring Sunny Kaushal and debutante Sharvari, this film will tell the story of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj.
12. Sons of Soil: Jaipur Pink Panthers
Sons of Soil: Jaipur Pink Panthers is an unscripted show that will be releasing later this year. The show is based upon Abhishek Bachchan’s Pro Kabaddi team, the Jaipur Pink Panthers through training, games, and success. This series will be created by BBC Productions.
13. Bandish Bandits
This is a new show on Amazon Prime about two singers, one is Indian classical named Radhe and another is Tamanna, a pop star. Despite their differences, the two go on a journey of self-discovery to see if opposites, though they may attract, can also adapt and go long-term. This show has a star cast like Naseeruddin Shah and Atul Kulkarni.
14. Comicstaan Tamil
This time Amazon is giving a chance to Tamil stand up comedians through this show. This show is being produced by Only Much Louder (OML) which also produced the first season of this show.
