What is Samsung Dex?
DeX stands for "desktop experience". Basically it is a dock where you plug your phone that provides s connection for a display, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet, USB devices. Plug an external display with the HDMI port and pair a wireless keyboard and mouse with your phone and you have a desktop computer ready to work on.

It is the software that is taking the spotlight. Samsung has optimised the apps for productivity and managed to meet the expectation of a desktop that is actually running on a smartphone. That feels good.

According to the sources, Dex has more apps as compared to Windows 10 Continuum which was limited to a few apps. Also, the galaxy S8 processor is much more capable of handling multi-tasking and a lot of browser tabs.

You just need to plug your S8 into the DeX dock and within a minute. The apps you were using on your S8 will be available in the form of icons in the bottom of the screen.

Surprisingly you can use keyboard shortcuts also like Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for copy and paste. Use drag and drop between the apps. Also, the context menu is supported on right click.

I mean this is an amazing thing that you are carrying in your pocket. Start where you left from. Dock it and use it like a desktop. That's it :)
