What is Samsung Dex?
DeX stands for "desktop experience". Basically it is a dock where you plug your phone that provides s connection for a display, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet, USB devices. Plug an external display with the HDMI port and pair a wireless keyboard and mouse with your phone and you have a desktop computer ready to work on.

It is the software that is taking the spotlight. Samsung has optimised the apps for productivity and managed to meet the expectation of a desktop that is actually running on a smartphone. That feels good.

According to the sources, Dex has more apps as compared to Windows 10 Continuum which was limited to a few apps. Also, the galaxy S8 processor is much more capable of handling multi-tasking and a lot of browser tabs.

You just need to plug your S8 into the DeX dock and within a minute. The apps you were using on your S8 will be available in the form of icons in the bottom of the screen.

Surprisingly you can use keyboard shortcuts also like Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V for copy and paste. Use drag and drop between the apps. Also, the context menu is supported on right click.

I mean this is an amazing thing that you are carrying in your pocket. Start where you left from. Dock it and use it like a desktop. That's it :)

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

The New Galaxy is about to launch - Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+
1. New camera
Samsung is boasting the camera in the new S9 and S9+. It is expected that similar to improved camera in S8 from S7, S9 will have improved single camera and S9+ will have dual camera setup like last year Samsung Galaxy Note 8. If the leaks are to be believed, this time the orientation of the dual camera could be vertical which might help in reaching the fingerprint scanner easily. Also, the low light photography is improved and now the user is given the ability to set the aperture as seen in Samsung's teaser.

2. Enhanced Video recording

According to the reports, Samsung will launch enhanced slow motion recording in S9 and S9+. Also, stereo speakers are to be expected in the new pair for the enhanced audio experience. Also, it may retain the headphone jack which every manufacturer is dropping from their flagships which is good.

3. Samsung's fantastic infinity display

Samsung is all set to launch its new pair of flagship smartphones. Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ on 25th February 2018. Like the S8 displayed new all screen design, S9 is also being said to hold the same. This trend is being followed by other smartphone manufacturers also like OnePlus and Apple. S9 is also expected to have curved edges, front and back glass etc.

4. Enhanced IRIS scanner and Face Recognition.

If rumors are to be believed, Samsung has improved IRIS and Face recognition. Like we have seen in OnePlus 5T, the face recognition is super fast. In Note 8 it is on the slower side.

Like previous launches, Samsung will ship these smartphones with two variants of processors, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chip in the US and Samsung's latest Exynos 9810 chip in others.

There is also an update coming on DeX, smartphones may come with a new version which turns the smartphone into an Android computer, connecting to an external display, mouse, and keyboard.

That's all we know. Stay connected for more update on this.

Acer Swift 3 - SF315-51G - One of the Best Budget Laptops for multimedia users.

I was looking for a budget laptop for some multimedia work like video editing. Surfing the internet and looking at various online shopping site I came across this, which has premium looks and also got some real hardware to handle some tough works. I usually do video editing and require some good hardware to handle those resource hungry tasks. I found this laptop suitable for me. Both the looks and the hardware are matched with the price so that you don't have to compromise on any front.

I have been using this for last 5 days and did not observe any lag till now. It has two versions, one that comes with Ubuntu Endless OS and the other with Windows Home. The thing which I liked the most is the booting time. You hit the power button and it is ready in less than 10 seconds. Now, I will list down its pros and cons which will help you in deciding whether you should go for it or not.

Pros -
Looks - I must say it is a great looking laptop. Look premium and feels premium.
Full HD screen. Color reproduction is good.
Build quality is good.
No heating issue while doing intense tasks.
Easily play heavy games like GTA5 or Asphalt airborne.

Glossy display - It becomes difficult in working in a well-lit environment. You can see your reflection in the screen.
Low brightness - As compared to other brands, brightness is on the lower side.
Weight - Inpite of being only 2.1 Kg, it feels heavier.
Battery backup - Lasts up to approx.  4 hours only on normal usage.
